Add Qordinate to Slack
Personal AI ops assistant for tasks, follow-ups, and accountability. Your AI teammate that does the boring parts for you.
What is Qordinate?
Qordinate is your AI teammate that actually does the boring parts for you - tracking tasks, nudging you on time, and keeping context across channels so you don't have to. Instead of opening ten tools, just talk to Qordinate in Slack like you'd DM a coworker.
What Qordinate Can Do for You
Remember Things for Later
Set one-time or recurring reminders. Examples: "Remind me tomorrow 4pm to reply to the investor" or "Every Monday at 10am, ask me for my weekly priorities."
Manage Tasks Across Your Day
Capture quick todos in Slack and turn them into structured tasks with due dates, priorities, and notes. Get gentle-but-firm nudges when you're ignoring your own plans.
Summarize and Surface Context
Summarize long threads, pull out action items, and keep a running log of what actually matters. Great for noisy channels and chaos teams.
Coordinate with People
Need docs, confirmations, or updates from others? Qordinate can help you structure the request and follow up later so it doesn't die in chat.
Use Connectors from Slack
Qordinate is MCP-compatible and supports connectors like Gmail, Calendar, Cursor, Drive, Docs, and any remote hosted MCP server. Access and control your connected tools directly from Slack without switching apps.
Getting Started
Prerequisites
- Your Slack workspace must allow installation of the Qordinate app
- You have a Qordinate account (sign up at app.qordinate.ai)
- For connector features, you'll need to connect them separately at app.qordinate.ai → Connectors
Installation
Before proceeding, first check if Qordinate is already installed in your workspace by accessing Apps in Slack.
Step 1 (Workspace Installation): Click "Add to Slack" above to install Qordinate in your workspace. This is a one-time installation that adds the app to your Slack workspace. Review the permissions requested and click "Allow" to proceed.
Step 2 (Individual User Connection): Each user must connect their Slack account to their Qordinate account. Visit app.qordinate.ai, sign in or sign up with your phone number, then go to Connectors → Slack to link your account.
Important: If you try to message Qordinate in Slack before connecting your account, you'll receive instructions to complete the connection. Once connected, you can message Qordinate in any channel or DM where it's been added.
Step 3: Add Qordinate to a channel or DM it directly. The bot must be added to a channel before it can read or respond there. You can find Qordinate in your Slack apps list or add it to your navigation bar.
Step 4 (Optional): Connect additional tools at app.qordinate.ai → Connectors. Qordinate supports Gmail, Calendar, Cursor, Drive, Docs, and any MCP-compatible server. Once connected, you can use these tools directly from Slack.
Using Qordinate in Slack
After installation, you can start using Qordinate by @mentioning it in any channel or DM. Qordinate responds to direct @mentions and understands natural language requests. You can ask Qordinate to summarize threads, create tasks, set reminders, query your tasks, and use connected tools.

Data Controls and Management
You can view and manage your Qordinate connection from app.qordinate.ai → Connectors. From there, you can view your connected Slack workspace, disconnect it, or reconnect if needed.
Disconnecting your Qordinate account from Slack will prevent you from using Qordinate in Slack until you reconnect. Your task history and data remain accessible in your Qordinate account and can be managed from the web app.
You can also remove the Qordinate app from Slack directly if you have the necessary permissions in your workspace.
Privacy and Security
Qordinate respects Slack's existing permissions - the bot must be added to a channel before it can read or respond there. Only messages and files you already have access to in Slack are accessible to Qordinate.
Data sent to Qordinate includes your messages and requests, which are processed using Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate responses. Qordinate maintains memory of your tasks and preferences to provide personalized assistance across channels. This memory is used to improve your experience and is not shared with other users.
When using connectors, Qordinate accesses only the data you've authorized for each connector. Each connector's data is handled according to its own privacy policies and your authorization settings.

Limitations
- Qordinate must be added to a channel before it can read or respond there
- Heavy usage may exhaust your per-user Slack API limits quota even if workspace-wide limits are not reached
- Connector features require separate setup at app.qordinate.ai → Connectors
- Some advanced features may require specific connector configurations
